Little River’s Arika Feldman and Ellinwood’s Regan Widener earned player of the year in their respective classifications in the fall from the Kansas Volleyball Association after leading their teams to state championships.
 
Now both will be KVA All-Stars. And teammates as well.
 
Feldman, the Class 1A Division I player of the year, and Widener, the Class 2A player of the year, will suit up for the Red Team for the annual KVA All-Star match, which will be held June 6 at Whiting Fieldhouse on the Washburn University campus in Topeka. The match will start at 5 p.m.
 
Widener will be joined at the match by teammate Kyndal Moore, who will play for the Blue team. Ellinwood was one of three programs with two All-Star Match selections. Olathe West has Cami Sher on the Blue team and Neely Leathers on the Red squad while McPherson has Brooke Doile on the Blue team and Ava Romero on the Red.
 
The Blue team will be coached by Jefferson County North’s David Schuler (head), Rock Creek’s Alli Snapp and Manhattan’s Nicole Jones while the Red coaches are Holton’s Kristel Bontrager (head), Linn’s Amy Bott and Hays’ Shannon Funk.
