 Beloit-St. John's Grant Goodaker

GRANT GOODAKER, BELOIT-ST. JOHN'S

A starter on the Beloit-St. John’s basketball team that won the Class 1A Division I state championship last month, Goodaker, a senior, will look to end another  season on a strong note. He finished fourth at the Sand Greens state meet at Cottonwood Falls Country Club last year, carding a 76. Goodaker’s career low round is a 75, and he consistently placed in the top 10 as a junior.

Beloit-St. John's John Mick

JOHN MICK, BELOIT-ST. JOHN'S

Like fellow senior Grant Goodaker, Mick is a returning top-10 state medalist and was part of the Blujays’ state championship basketball team last March. He placed eighth at the Sand Greens state meet last year with a career-best round of 79 and had several top-10 finishes throughout the season. Beloit-St. John’s coach Jason Carr said he expects Mick and Goodaker to have solid seasons and help the Blujays contend for a state title.

Lakeside's Eli Schmitt

ELI SCHMITT, LAKESIDE

With the graduation of three-time state champion Jace Cunningham, Schmitt will look to take on a leadership role for the Knights as they aim to add one final chapter to their Sand Greens dynasty. Lakeside is going for its sixth straight team championship in the final season of Sand Greens. Schmitt was the state runner-up last year as a sophomore, shooting a 72 to finish seven strokes behind Cunningham, and averaged 3-over par for the season. He is also a standout basketball player for the Knights.

Rock HIlls' Ty Vance

TY VANCE, ROCK HILLS

Vance will look to help Rock Hills contend for a state title after finishing fifth individually last year with a 78. The Grizzlies return their top two players in Vance and Ethan Wirth off last season’s state runner-up team. Rock Hills finished 25 strokes behind five-time reigning champion Lakeside, who lost three players to graduation. Vance, a junior, finished the 2025 season with an 82 scoring average and has a career low round of 78.

Rock Hills' Ethan Wirth

ETHAN WIRTH, ROCK HILLS

Wirth is a two-time state medalist for the Grizzlies. After finishing state runner-up as a sophomore in 2024, Wirth placed sixth at state last year. He had four top-five finishes last season, posted a 77 scoring average and carded a career-low round of 71. He is one of two returning state placers for Rock Hills, along with Ty Vance.
