The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches has announced its 2025 All-State teams as well as the rosters for the annual All-Star game.
 
Players, pitchers and coaches of the year were announced for each division as well and one was a repeat selection from a year ago. Sedgwick’s Corey Crumrine was named the Class 2-1A pitcher of the year for the second year in a row.
 
Player of the year honors in Class 2-1A was a three-way split with Crumrine’s Sedgwick teammate Karston Wall named along with Pleasant Ridge’s Austin Green and Little River’s Logan Renken. Luke Burns, who led Valley Falls to a runner-up state finish, was named the coach of the year.
 
In Class 6A, Mill Valley’s Beau Peterson was chosen as the player of the year while Shawnee Mission East’s Michael Winter was named pitcher of the year. Free State’s Mike Hill, who guided the Firebirds to the Class 6A state title, was named coach of the year.
 
In Class 5A, state champion St. Thomas Aquinas had the player of the year in Cru Huenfeld. The Saints also had the co-pitcher of the year in Lincoln Boyle, who shared the honor with Great Bend’s Carson Umphres, and the coach of the year in Rick Sabath.
 
The Class 4A player of the year honors was shared by Hayden’s Cooper Grace and Clay Center’s Cole Pladson. McPherson’s Ian Razak was named the pitcher of the year and 4A state champion Fort Scott had the coach of the year in Josh Regan.
 
The Big East League swept the honors in Class 3A with Perry-Lecompton’s Eli Dean named player of the year, Jefferson West’s Cooper Watkins named pitcher of the year and West’s Dan Hypse selected as coach of the year.
 
The KABC All-Star game will be held at 1 p.m. June 18 at Riverfront Stadium in Wichita. Fort Scott’s Regan and Valley Falls’ Burns will coach the Navy team while Aquinas’ Sabatha and Jefferson West’s Hypse will coach the Powder Blue team.
