About the KSHSAA Official Recognition Program
The KSHSAA Official Recognition Program, established in the 1999-2000 school year, honors officials who have contributed significant years of service to Kansas high school athletics. Officials reaching these milestones receive award plaques and are recognized at a ceremony held in conjunction with a state championship event.
Each school year, approximately 4,000 registered athletic officials work KSHSAA events across 10 of the 14 sports the association sponsors. These officials provide a fair and safe contest environment while playing an important role in the educational development of high school students.
